Busy Board

I have found the secret to entertaining a live-wired, mischievous toddler.  It's called a busy board.  And you can make it yourself.  Or like me, have your much-more-skilled hubby craft one.  Bravo hubby!

Chocolate Cupcakes 'n Cream Cheese Frosting

Sometimes cakes aren't as pretty as they taste.  Not everything I bake turns out picture perfect but I prefer a yummy cake to a pretty cake any day of the week.  And that's just how these little cakes turned out.  I could blame it on the new silicon liners I used, or the fact that I baked them with my toddler tugging at my jeans, but really, no excuses needed.  They were yummy.

Tea for Two

What's a gal to do on MLK Jr Day when the schools are closed?  Have a girly afternoon chin-wag over tea and cake while the +1 is sleeping!

King and Duke

I can't emphasize enough the importance of date nights after having a kid.  We like to go to places where we wouldn't normally take our +1.  The King and Duke it is!
