Memories of Mauritius

Where is Mauritius you ask?  Somewhere between Shangri-la and paradise.

Okay so maybe it's really between Madagascar and the vast Indian Ocean...

There was a time when I used to travel.  A lot.  I developed a passion and love for traveling that has been unparalleled in my life.   And then came little man.

Have you ever traveled internationally with a toddler?  It completely redefines the word 'vacation'. Not necessarily in a completely bad way, but in a way where you can say goodbye to those naps on the beach and shark cage diving excursions.

I've got incredibly itchy feet (not the fungal kind smart a*s) and since the prospect of an international vacation sans little man is nonexistent at the present moment, I'm going to dive into 'Throw Back Thursday' with a trip down memory lane to a amazing place called Le Touessrok.

If you go, make sure you take a day trip around the island.  There are so many beautiful things to see. Just a 'few' Hindu temples and statues along the way and the beautiful Chamarel waterfall.

I'm so grateful for all the amazing places I've had the good fortune to travel to.  They've provided me with beautiful memories to last a lifetime; and help me get through the 'dry spells' of travel-less times at home with little man.  Which can be memory-filled as well.

Where was your favorite vacation destination?  Tell me...let me live vicariously through your travels on this cold, snowy Thursday.
