Would you buy a sandwich from a gas station in the US? Probably not. How about the UK? I was hesitant, until I realized (most) UK petrol stations have some insanely good sandwiches. To the point where I actually crave this 'prawn sarnie' I used to get at M&S.
Okay so the M&S ones don't look quite like this. But I prefer mine without the cardboard triangle box anyway.
A handful of ingredients. 5 minutes. A nice change from lunchmeat & cheese wouldn't you say?
Marie Rose Prawn 'Sarnie'
- 2 Tbsp Ketchup
- 2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
- Juice of a lemon (to taste)
- Worcestershire Sauce (to taste)
- Peeled, deveined, cooked prawns
- Bread of choice
Mix the ketchup, mayo, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl. Toss in prawns and refrigerate for a few hours (I like mine cold).
Slap it on some bread rolls with whatever toppings take your fancy. I like lettuce and avo. Because everything's better with avos.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
PS - You could finish it off with a fresh batch of these bad boys like we did...
