Tortellini & Sausage Stoup

So I guess by now you've figured out that if it's not simple and relatively quick, I don't cook/bake it anymore.  At the risk of sounding like an old lady, I looove my slow cooker.  Especially in the winter months.

stoup, sausage and tortellini, food

This tortellini sausage stoup is just plain simple.  Really.  A monkey could do this blindfolded.  It's yummy too.  I found it on Recipecrock.

All hail the magical pot o' food.  Ingredients get thrown in.  A full meal comes out several hours later.

Ingredients:

1 bag of frozen cheese tortellini (I used fresh, uncooked)
1 lb. of sausage
1 bag of fresh spinach
2 cans of Italian style tomatoes diced
2 cans of low fat chicken broth
1 container of cream cheese (8 oz)

Another amazing thing about this recipe?  Little man gets a healthy dose of spinach.  Something that would otherwise never see the inside of his teethie little mouth.  What is it about kids and veggies?

Okay so here are the impossibly difficult instructions:

- Brown the sausage until cooked and crumbled.
- Throw it all in the magical slow cooker.
- Stir (I know, hard work huh?).
- Cook on low for 5 hours stirring occasionally.

Presto done-zo.
