Make a Font from Your Own Handwriting

I have a confession. I get embarrassingly excited about certain blog-related things. One of those things being fonts. Did you know there's a website that will produce a font from your own handwriting for free?

I stumbled across this website the other day.

The process is super easy and if you're a font-geek (official term), then you'll really love this. All you have to do is print the form provided on MyFontScript's website and fill it out using a felt tip pen.

I threw in a few fun symbols to try out. You could really go crazy and make a whole font out of dingbats if you're so inclined.

When you're done, scan it (hi res) and upload it to their website.

Press submit and ta-da! You're very own handwritten, one-of-a-kind, script font!

Here's what I've made so far after recruiting my parents for a little variation (top: mine, middle: good 'ol Dad, lower: old-school Mom script).

(I'm just laughing to myself picturing my parents singing these lyrics.)

So there you have it, a little bloggy fun for your Wednesday.  Enjoy!

PS - Show me your fonts!
