A NASCAR Kind of Day

Not only is it the largest spectator sport in the world, but it is also the fastest growing sport. I thought I'd send E out on the track to see what all the fuss is about.

E has a love for fast things of the automotive nature. Since he is seriously impossible to shop for, I thought, "what better Christmas gift for him than an afternoon driving a NASCAR?"

Plus there is the added bonus of getting to see my handsome English 'Johnny' trying his hand at a very, very American sport.

My very own Cole Trickle (ala Days of Thunder).

And he's off!

Okay, so maybe this isn't my idea of an exciting day out. But sometimes you've got to take one for the team. Besides, E is taking me on a wonderful Babymoon to the Florida Keys. I think I can handle a day of sweaty, dirty, adrenaline hungry, speed junkies.

The redneck vibes reminded me a little of my former home in Missouri. And I liked it.

I even managed to get a little tan while watching E speed past at 143.9 MPH (to be precise).

I feel I finally redeemed myself after a few years of really lame Christmas gifts. I booked it through Xperience Days but you can also book directly through Dale Jarrett across the US (not a sponsored post, just FYI if you need an idea for a hard-to-shop-for person).

E was happy and had the adrenaline shakes. I got a tan and a 'day off' from Little Man. And the weather was beautiful. All in all, a great day out. Gotta love that.
