I recently joined a photography challenge hosted by Instagram. I only just opened my Instagram page a few months back but I'm already in love.
A place where it's totally acceptable to post a million photos of your dog, your food and other random things you love, all the while connecting with people all over the world who love the same things? Brilliant!
Every Friday Instagram posts a photo challenge. Just the thing for pushing me to improve my photography. I'm already finding myself excited for Friday just so I can find out what shot I'll be hunting down over the weekend.
Last week's challenge was 'line meets corner'. I posted this oldie from my trip to Scotland. I always loved the name of this bridge...The Firth of the Forth. Say that three times fast!
The second challenge I'm taking on is Rachel Brathen's daily yoga challenge. 21 days of yoga prompts to encourage you to practice each day.
I used to practice yoga regularly when I lived abroad. It was an easy form of exercise to take anywhere with me, and even better, didn't require a visit to a sweaty gym.
I just recently started back up again and have been frustrated with how far I've fallen from where I used to be. This challenge has come at the perfect time to help motivate me to try harder and become that yogi I've always hoped to be.
Day 1 & 2.
Yeah yeah, it looks like I'm always in Shavasana (meditating), but seriously, I've been working really flippin' hard on inversions and my goal is to have mastered the handstand by the end of the year.
If I can't be out there traveling the world at least I can be expanding my mind other ways. I learn so much every day just from getting involved.
If you're looking for a good challenge, that suits most everyone, I highly recommend #100HappyDays. Life changing. And you don't even have to use social media to do it.
Are you doing any social media challenges right now?
