I've had it since I was 16. Without it I couldn't fulfill my dreams.
It's the one item I cannot live without. Of that, I have no doubt.
Helene and Taylor have posed a very compelling question : What is one thing you cannot live without? After having a long think about it, and I kept coming back to one thing that has had more to do with my happiness than any other single item I own.
My passport.
This tiny little book has opened some gigantic doors in my life. I am so grateful for that. From a fresh New Year in Sydney to climbing the Great Pyramid of Giza, this fella has been everywhere with me.
For as many places as it has taken me, my trusty passport has always served as a reminder of home. No matter how far away from home I actually was, it was always my safety net that would catch me if things went horribly awry.
Fortunately they never did. In fact, life became a dream.
Without this little book I would have never ended up married to my soulmate.
I might not yet have discovered who I am as an independent person.
I'd probably still be trying to figure out where I belong.
And I may never have found one of my greatest passions in life; travel.
So many places yet to go.
What is the one thing you can't live without?
