I know I've been a bit short on words lately. I've been thinking about all the ways you can harness the power of your mind to manifest your goals. Told you I get deep sometimes.
This is one of my favorite quotes. I really believe that in body we can achieve what our minds conceive. The law of attraction and all that amazing science. It's been life changing for me, but more about that another day.
I set a few goals for myself at the beginning of the year. I can't believe we are already at the halfway point of 2014! Time really does seem to accelerate as you age.
Anyway, my friend Candice reminded me that the midway point of the year is a good time to reevaluate your goals and maybe set a new course, or appreciate how far you've come. When I look back on my list of goals, I'm really pleased (and a bit surprised) with my progress.
>> Spend time with new friends.
Done and done! And I've even made some lovely new ones.
>> Do some form of cardio regularly.
Ummm, maybe I need a little more work on this one. I exercise, but I really need to make a routine of it. I love kickboxing, and have even thought about doing a post or two on it.
>> Travel somewhere amazing.
While I enjoyed the break, the Florida Keys was neither amazing, nor epic. Which is exactly what I had intended when I set this goal. With no plans to jet off to a far away land I'm a little concerned about this one...need to put my mind to it ASAP.
>> Establish myself as a 'freelancer'.
When I wrote that I had no idea what I really meant. I'm pleased and a little surprised, that I've already designed two websites and really enjoyed the process. Check them out; Scottie Mom, the Martha Stewart of the dog-world and one of her spin off's Shih Tzu Mom (still in beta).
Did you set any goals for yourself this year? How are you getting on with them?
