Chillin at the Ice Bar

When the boys (and kids) are away, the girls will play! Seriously though, when these Mums get a night off, we live every minute to the fullest. First stop, ice bar for some infused vodka shots.

I can't think of a more perfect place to beat the summer heat that an ice bar. My pal M always finds the best places to go for a fun girls night out.

Cheers to new friends and flights of infused vodka!

The vodka keeps you warm and a bar made of ice keeps your drinks cold.

As does the chariot of ice in which our shots are delivered.

Word to the wise, if you decide to visit Czar Ice Bar (which I totally recommend), keep in mind it's not a big place so you may have to wait for a table. But the owner, a lovely man named Saito, is more than happy to keep an eye out for the first available table.

He loves a good laugh too.

Why would we want a table at an ice bar you ask? Sushi, that's why. I'll admit, I was slightly dubious of the quality of sushi at a place known for it's frozen bar and vodka...and Russian namesake.

How wrong I was. The sushi was perfection.

After sharing a few rolls and having a nice looooong girly chit chat we were gifted a round of vodka shots courtesy of Saito and his lovely crew. Did I mention I really like this place?

The night was still young and we had one more place to visit. A hidden speakeasy just a short walk from the ice bar. With the secret passcode in hand we hurried along to our next stop.

A secret, hidden bar requires a full post of it's own. So I'll save that bit for tomorrow...

In the meantime, tell me what you got up to this weekend.
