Having a Plaid Day

I woke up in a foul mood the other day. I'm not sure why. Fortunately, the summer heat has finally broken and the air was cool. A bit of blue plaid cheered me right up.

I'm no fashion blogger. In fact, I consider myself a Plain Jane more than anything. But I did my best to strike that 'broody fashionista' pose.

And then I returned to my typical demeanor.

There are few things I love more than the crisp, cool Fall air. 

Plaid shirts would be one of them. I've finally found the perfect blue plaid shirt. I'm in love.

These lace up, suede boots are pretty rad too. I've had them for years.

And of course, Chewie.

Okay so there are a few things I love more than a breezy Fall morning. Having walked around the woods for a while I was in a much better mood. And then I found this random and odd note. 

The woods taking credit for cheering me up? ^^

If you've been around the blog for a while you'll probably be a little surprised at these photos. Mainly because I'm actually showing my face *gasp*. I feel the need to explain...

A while back, Eltoria, a blogger who I admire for her unique voice, suggested that I show more of myself in the blog. She reckons those are the posts that people really connect with and enjoy. 

So, I thought I'd stick my hesitant toe in the water. Hell, I just cannon-balled in with a YouTube video. I was amazed at the huge response. Everyone was so kind and encouraging. I've always been a bit camera shy on the blog. It really made my day hearing such nice things.

So I thought, maybe I'll show my face around these parts every now and again. 

Putting myself out there visually is something I'm still getting comfortable with. I can't promise I won't disappear from the photos again....but in the meantime, I'd love to hear your thoughts below.
