Hour by Hour

I never realized how strangely diverse a single day in my life could be until I took a photo an hour.

It's surprisingly challenging to do a photo an hour. Finding the unique moments among the mundane gives you a new perspective on your daily life; starting with rolling out of bed...

7am // Rise and whine. I'm not a morning person. Chewie, on the other hand, is. Always whining with not a single shred of patience at the bathroom door.

8am // A very uninteresting hour during which Little Man is dressed, fed, and whisked off to Toddler school. The drive usually involves the same 5 songs on Hits 1 and several 'exciting' firetruck sightings.

9am // Chewie's favorite part of the day. Two hours of whining and whimpering finally pay off with a visit to the dog park.

10am // Emails. Bills. Blog coding. Oh my!

11am // Compiling a grocery list from cookbooks Pinterest while snacking on Pumpkin pretzels. I'm a grazer. Followed by grocery shopping and forgetting half of what I came for because I'm simultaneously chatting to my Mom on the phone.

12pm // Pick Little Man up. Singing the new (and highly addictive) Taylor Swift song on the way home in a lispy-silly voice. I'll do anything to keep him from crying in the car. Tired todder = cranky toddler.

1pm // Lunch and The Real Housewives of OC (DVR). It's been a whole three hours since my last snack. Consider me starving. Toast with guacamole/parma ham and bickering grown women is my form of relaxation. Don't judge.

2pm // Delivery at the door! Oh how I love online shopping. The excitement quickly fades into the continuation of my random daily chores and yoga.

3pm // Modeling my new plaid for a future blog post. I. Love. Plaid. Cut short when the beast is awoken from his slumber. I'll spare you a photo of the 'gift' he presented me with in his diaper.

4pm // I found these Halloween window decals in the dollar bin at Target. Best buck I've ever spent. Little Man is obsessed with sticking them on and peeling them off. We spend a good 20-30 minutes a day doing so.

5pm // Prep dinner. Cheese, spinach and ham quiche with beans. So good I wrote a post about it. Apparently it was a hit. Still ranks as one of my top 3 post of all time. Go figure!

6pm // In lieu of a photo I give you a sample of my pre-dinner hour. A mish mash of Peppa Pig, Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Big Block Singsong. No idea what I'm talking about? You will when you have a toddler in your house one day.

7pm // After dinner walk in the woods with Chewie during which I was ever so grateful for the devine invention of the Chuck-it. For without it I would have had to touch Chewie's ball after it had landed on a dead squirrel. That's just nasty.

8pm // Catching up on my favorite blogs and Instagram. Some of my favorites from the day....$125k, 1 Month Vacay of a LifetimePhotos of Dads at a One Direction Concert, poor blokes. I'm in love daily with Shalyn Nelson's hedgehog, #instalove.

9pm // Ice cream, tv and cuddles with E. No photos because I 'unplug' for the rest of the night.

Maybe not the most captivating or thrilling daily life but I love it nonetheless.

What is your day to day routine? If you do a 'photo an hour' post put it in the comments so we can have a sneaky peek.
