// 1 // The Person Who Pays Your Toll
Who knew 50 cents, pence, whatever, could make a person's whole day? I once had the person in front of me pay for my toll so I, in turn, paid for the person behind me.
A few miles down the highway a big SUV full of football-player sized guys were hanging out their window yelling 'thank you' to me. Paying someone else's toll can totally make your day as well. Double bonus!
// 2 // The Compassionate Flyer
I've dared to fly alone with Little Man twice now. I keep saying I won't do it again, but I say the same thing about giving up chocolate. Imagine carrying an overstuffed carry-on bag, a stroller, and a 99 percentile-sized hyperactive
A simple smile or helping hand from the compassionate fellow traveller does wonders for the exhausted psyche of a parent traveling solo. I'll never forget a single person who helped me out on one of those journeys. Life savers.
// 3 // The Driver Who Lets People Over
When the signal of course. This is one area of life that vastly differs from my life in the UK. Driving. The drivers stateside (in general) tend to speed up when they see you turn your signal on. Not the friendliest bunch.
That being said, every so often you come across that super friendly (and considerate) driver who doesn't feel the need to steal an extra 20 feet of road space and happily let's you merge. I always give them a good and proper jazzy handed wave as a 'thank you'.
// 4 // 'Big' Bloggers Who Care
Being a 'new fish' in the pond (or ocean really) of public blogs, I often find myself with a lot of questions and ideas. It's been suggested that new bloggers should network and start communicating with other bloggers to develop their skills and friendships.
I don't know why but I'm still happily surprised when I see a 'big' blogger who still makes the time to help the 'little' guys. Case-in-point, Fat Mum Slim and the sisters over at A Beautiful Mess.
// 5 // The Friend that Never Forgets the Little Things
I won't ramble on about this since I've already made an info graphic on what makes a great friend great. But basically, my thoughts on friendship can be summed up with that quote at the top of the post.
So there you have it. 5 kinds of people who make you completely forget about all the other ones who maybe aren't so great. I'm sure there are loads more.
What kind of people do you think are great? Happy Friday!
